Start your diving journey the right way. Every young diver starts with the foundation and introduction to our AquaCubs program. Upon successful completion, they will be placed in the Little Badgers, Rec Group or Academy depending on drive, focus, coachability, teachability and goals. The Aquacub Learn2Dive Lessons are skill-based classes that are taught by our instructors during the academic school year and summer break. This is the first part of our diving journey and gives our divers an Active Start (stage 1) into the sport and an introduction to our FUNdamental stage. During the school year, sessions are offered every four weeks. We meet twice a week on Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday. In the summer, these sessions are condensed to eight lessons over two weeks Monday to Thursday. No prior diving experience REQUIRED!
Second part of our FUNdamental stage after the AquaCubs. This group focuses on building the confidence and skills that were learned in the Cubs and practicing them to a level of comfort. Here we learn new skills and keep it light hearted. There may be more play time at the end of practice to work on specific things a diver would want to do. We would meet 1 to 2 days a week depending on your schedule and ease of transportation.
The Badger Academy is where our divers practice Learning to Train. This is where we take advanced Rec Divers that want to pursue diving more seriously and prepare them for life in the the competitive world and eventually work towards a spot on the Travel Team. Our work revolves around time management and skill acquisition between 2 to 4 days a week.
There are six levels of the the Academy which serve as the foundation of Wisconsin Dive Club. Divers will learn the art and science of diving through classes based in and dedicated to both dryland training and water training. The training is geared towards developing novice level students into nationally competitive divers. Divers will receive the one-on-one attention needed to achieve their goals, all the while allowed to progress at their own pace. The Badger Academy program is designed for students with little or no experience up to the “pre-competitive stage” to develop a knowledge and foundation of diving fundamentals. We use basic skill progressions for each dive and dive category. Divers will learn the basic dives as well as the simple elements of somersaulting and twisting off the diving board. Once levels are successfully completed, the diver may be invited to one of the competitive teams.
The PreTeam training group is in the Training to Train stage. We focus on skill mastery. This group is a bit more strict in doing the correct movements in a certain pattern with very little wiggle room for interpretation. This is the group that we will draw from to fill our Travel Team.
Wisconsin Dive Club offers a variety of summer, fall, winter, and spring diving clinics. Come join us at the Soderholm Family Aquatic Center. Training includes both dive well and dry land instruction, tailored for campers to receive the maximum amount of individual attention.

We are fortunate to be in one of the fastest growing diving communities in the Midwest. Coupled with the city of Madison's access to elite level services is only limited by our imagination and budget. We are proud to share our trusted resources with our community.
In order to have the ability to do the amazing things that our kids do, we have to have a great place to do it on safe and reliable equipment. With over 30 years of board experience, we are offering service to Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin.
